In what seemed like a completely wasted hour and a half, I watched "Hamlet 2." The premise was that a high school drama teacher rewrote Shakespeare to reflect the more edgy style of the present, complete with songs like "Sexy Jesus." I do not recommend this film, but it does close with one of the best lines ever.After the play becomes a hit and makes its way to Broadway, one of the high school students comments that "...New York is way cooler than Tucson." The drama teacher/playwright responds:
"Chuy, you're going to have a magical life. Because no matter where you go, it's always going to be better than Tucson."
Feel free to replace Tucson with your own city of choice.
Earl, I am TOTALLY offended! You know some of your anonymous followers are from Tucson. You say replace "Tucson" with your own city of choice but we know you don't really mean it.
ReplyDeleteBTW, its "Rock Me Sexy Jesus." FYI, although the film paints Tucson has quite the hot spot, its way better in person. I am glad Danny Gokey lost on American Idol and Milwaukee didn't get the recognition it so desperately craved.

The ending line of the play is of great interest to me!

2. I was in New York City last week and have been there many times in the past...I love everything about it!
Soooo...if I was to move my Magical Life to NYC... my success would likely take me places to the levels of Vanderbuilt, JP Morgan, Rockefeller
